How To Use Your Communicative Tool

"What does that mean?" You asked. "Besides, I hold my own anywhere."

Employees must understand the organization's goal, code of behavior. You have to verbally explain it, so everyone understands, what is to be achieved, and how.

Explain clearly. Use long and short sentences, and pause for questions every two to three major points discussed. Keep the atmosphere open, friendly, but firm. Encourage employee input.

People can not talk or fidget most of the day away. Productivity would reach somewhere around zero. Sure, chatting happens, but actual work should outweigh it.

Meetings allow updates, re-enforces objectives. Acknowledge outstanding performances. Ask for suggestions on making improvements.

A suggestion is to have breakfast together, from time to time. How? Ask everyone to bring a plate of their favorite food. The meal does not have to be early morning. The time should be best for all. Purpose?

People get to know others away from work-related issues. They enjoy the atmosphere, company of others talking about anything but the job. Managers and leaders, for the moment, are just co-workers.

This event is suitable for restaurants too.

One's guard is down, and the exchange of communication flows. Also, you can see an individual better when tension is taken out of the equation. Sometimes, a person's ability surfaces. Who leans toward leadership? Does Bill or Sally keep the conversation going?

A smooth running, productive work-place happens when employees have been effectively updated, feel they are contributing, and happy. Scheduling, no-special-reason outings helps morale. Employees should pick the place, and meal time, occasionally. It has been my experience if employees value their position, they will reach for excellence.

Broadband - Future For Femtocell?

As mobile phone technology continues to advance in order to meet demand for fast connections and cheaper calls and text messages, many companies are now experimenting with methods of improving connection and speed for their users.

We are now able to check our e-mails and view web pages via broadband technology on our mobile phones and blackberry devices.

Phones have to constantly change to meet the needs of today's consumers, with advances in technology meaning you can get services such as high-megapixel cameras with digital zoom, GPS technology and mobile internet you can fit in the palm of your hand.

And now, mobile phone companies are beginning to experiment with broadband technology, releasing services that will allow you to connect to the internet for an affordable price.

Some companies now offer flat rate plans, which include plug-and-play USB dongles, which offer the chance to connect to their internet service by just plugging it into a laptop.

Such services usually come with bandwidth limits, and it's advantageous to run a broadband speed test to check if you're getting the speed you signed up for, and double-check any hardware within your machine if there are any problems.

But telecoms companies are also experimenting with methods which would allow calls to their mobile phones to be routed through broadband connections.

'Femtocell' technology uses wireless technology in order to disperse data throughout a small area - such as residential areas and small businesses.

By using a central base unit in order to route mobile phone calls, there is the potential to reduce interference and slow download speeds.

Unlike 3G signals, where the signal can be affected by obstacles, the data would be streamed through wires and transmitted through the base unit, which would in turn connect wirelessly to devices such as mobiles and laptops.

Many 3G phones which are available have the potential to connect to a femtocell base unit, and as many phones don't yet have wi-fi chips installed it could be easier to connect phones using femtocells instead of 'piggybacking' wi-fi technology.

Femtocell technology is currently used by some US telecoms networks, however some UK telecoms companies are considering similar schemes, which could be rolled out by as early as 2009 depending on trials.

Such schemes could help to connect many more homes, and give the opportunity to receive a range of services (such as phone, broadband and TV) down one connection.

Looking for better broadband? Perform a broadband speed test and compare broadband providers to find a deal that suits you.

Four Reasons Why You Should Buy the iPhone

iPhone iPod feature

The iPhone is not only a mobile phone. No no. When you buy an iPhone you will also get an iPod! This iPod function is very nice because of the big screen. You can play music as well as video.

iPhone visual voicemail feature

The iPhone also has a very nice voicemail function. Its a so called visual voicemail. With the visual voicemail you can go directly to any message. You dont have to listen to the other messages first. I think this is a very nice iPhone feature. Now you dont have to waste any time by listening to other messages?/p>

iPhone internet feature

The iPhone features a HTML email client and the best mobile browser, Safari. You can easily synchronize bookmarks from your Mac or PC.

iPhone Google maps feature

With Google maps and the maps application from the iPhone you can view maps and satellite images. You can also go directly to traffic information. A nice feature nowadays?/p>

There are a lot more iPhone features but the four I mentioned are a few reasons why I will by the iPhone. I also like the touch function. No more buttons to press...

Another thing I like are it's looks. It has a nice 3.5 screen. I only think that the iPhone is rather big. I don't think it will fit in pocket anymore.. But with such a nice looking phone I'm not embarrassed to show it to the world!

Check out more iPhone features on my iPhone features blog.
